European Family Justice Observatory
Gary J. Gottfried was recently asked to join the European Family Justice Observatory. The purpose of the European Family Justice Observatory (EFJO) is to enhance the capacity of all attorneys, mediators, judges, officials and decision makers in family law. The purpose of the European Family Justice Observatory (EFJO) is to enhance the capacity of all members to understand and apply European Family Law effectively in practice and to build an effective global network in which all members can identify and contact others in order to facilitate the timely provision of assistance in cross border matters.
The Observatory provides independent, balanced, practice oriented online training (videos by experts in the field) and networking (members directory and events listing) on European Family Law for legal practitioners and others interested. The Observatory is of particular interest to lawyers, mediators, judges, officials and decision makers to understand and apply European Family Law effectively in practice and to build an effective global network of attorneys. The purpose of the European Family Justice Observatory (EFJO) is to enhance the capacity of all actors to understand and apply European Family Law effectively in practice and to build an effective global network in which all actors can easily identify and contact others in order to facilitate the timely provision of assistance in cross border matters.
The National Advocates Top 100 Lawyers
Gary is also one of The National Advocates top 100 lawyers across the nation. American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers – The Ohio Chapter
Fellows of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers – Ohio Chapter are recognized for having advanced skills in the practice of family law. To be considered for admission, a lawyer must be an experienced practitioner with a significant proportion of his or her practice in the area of family law. Applicants must complete a detailed application describing significant matters in which they acted as counsel. They must obtain recommendations from their peers, opposing counsel, and members of the judiciary. They must pass a national examination pertaining to all aspects of family law, including taxation, federally enacted statutes and international conventions.
International Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers
IAML is a worldwide association of practicing lawyers who are recognized by their peers as the most experienced and skilled family law specialists in their respective countries. IAML was formed in 1986 to improve the practice of law and administration of justice in the area of divorce and family law throughout the world.
Ohio State Bar Association
The Ohio State Bar Association, founded in 1880, is a voluntary professional association open to any person who has been admitted to the practice of law. Law school students, paralegal students and paralegals sponsored by an OSBA attorney member are eligible for membership in the OSBA as associate members. The OSBA represents more than 26,000 Ohio lawyers and judges, nearly 70 percent of Ohio law practitioners.
Our core purpose is to advance the professional interests of members of the Ohio State Bar Association. Columbus Bar Association
The Columbus Bar Association is a diverse community of nearly 5,000 central Ohio legal professionals. Founded in 1869, the association is led by a Board of Governors consisting of 11 members, three Officers, and the Executive Director.
